The Epiphany hit Steve and Andrew: The problem wasn't the material; it was the process. They realized that chasing leaks and patching problems was the easy, cheap way out. It wasn't easy to launch. The Moment We Stopped Being Contractors—And Started Being Champions
We, the founders—Stephen Shroeder and Andrew McKensie—didn't start out wanting to change roofing; we just wanted to be honest roofers.
But the longer we worked in the industry, the more disgusted we became with the game. We saw good people, friends and neighbors, trapped on the Contractor Merry-Go-Round.
The Day Everything Changed
